Pastor Luis Salazar
I have been a minister of the Gospel for 27 years. My first ministry was as a Music Minister and Youth Director at my home church in Costa Rica, Central America. During my time as a Music Minister, I developed the music ministry of the church into adult, youth, and children choirs, as well as quartets, small ensembles, soloists, duets, etc.
After serving in the music ministry, I became Co-Pastor of the church. I helped to establish several churches within Costa Rica and in other countries like Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Honduras. I served the Lord in church ministry for 14 years in Central America. Then, in 1996 He called me to the United States to be a minister among the Hispanic population as a Pastor.
My wife, Carolina, my best friend, has traveled with me in marriage for 23 years. She is also the mother of our 2 sons Daniel, age 19, and David, age 16. With a Masters degree in Special Education, Carolina works for the Fairfax County school system. Daniel plays the drums, guitar, and sings in the Youth Praise Band while preparing to go away to college next fall. David plays classical guitar and bass in the Youth Praise Band while meeting the challenges of 10th grade at Trinity Christian School.
I plan to grow the Hispanic Fellowship spiritually and in membership, to lead them to the next level in all their ministries, and to develop new ministries within God’s will. In addition, I plan to help them be a light in the community.
